Anwar-Yasser Rassool

Founder/Chief Executive Officer
Anwar-Yasser Rassool is a social activist who is passionate about the development and sustainability of education, specifically education in the African context. Anwar’s passion for social development began in his teens when he volunteered and assisted in various projects ranging from soup kitchens, hydroponics, poverty alleviation and robotic and ICT education and training.

In 2019, Anwar started the FEST Foundation at the end of his matric year and began to build a network of professional individuals who shared his passion for sustainable development in the education sector. His out-of-the-box “new generation” thinking has allowed him to shed a new and innovative light on problems the education sector has faced for years. Anwar is also an African Education Medal Nominee, an achievement that celebrates the efforts of those who work towards better education in Africa.

While running his nonprofit, Anwar is also a student at the University of Pretoria where he aims to complete his qualifications in International Relations as well as his Bachelors of Law (LLB) focused on human rights law, children’s law, and education law.

William Selyer

Co-Founder/Chief Project Officer
William Selyer is a seasoned social entrepreneur and self-starter who has an immense passion for helping people work towards self-sustainable development. William acquired various qualifications ranging from business, entrepreneurship and facilitation and has more than 5 years experience in various industries such as project coordination, event management, public relations and logistics.

William has worked with various non-profit organizations, most notably, The Fatherhood Foundation of South Africa, where he quickly rose to become the Senior Coordination Manager and navigated multiple partnerships with the Department of Social Development and organizations such as NICDAM. William was a valuable asset in negotiations with both national and international donors.

William’s passion and experience has steered him to coordinate multiple public and private events and conferences, such as the annual African Investigative Journalism Conference held at the University of Witwatersrand where he assisted in the logistics and organization for more than 300 attendees.

In 2019, William co-founded the FEST Foundation and serves as its Chief Project Officer, using his experience to manage all major projects on the ground.

Tshitego Moses Segaetsho

Tshitego Moses Segaetsho is qualified and experienced Corporate Governance and ICT Governance and Management business professional with a proven track record and a passion to contribute to organisation strategy development and ensuring that the organization achieves its strategic goals and objectives and derives value from its business and technology investments through the implementation of sustainable and sound corporate governance principles and practices.

He has worked extensively in ICT sectors across various industries including banking, marketing, manufacturing, media & broadcasting, higher education, mobile telecommunications and the public sector. He is a founder and non-executive chairperson of the GRC Academy and Business Solutions Pty Ltd, whose purpose is to develop young and aspiring graduates into Governance professionals as well as provide corporate governance advice to private and public sector organizations. Tshitego believes in lifelong learning and professional education and development to keep up to date and remain relevant and ahead of the curve in a dynamic global business environment underpinned by the rapidly evolving technology.

He is a PhD candidate and believes in giving back to the community and the profession by volunteering to serve on boards and committees of non-profit organizations. He was on the board of ISACA South Africa Chapter as a director responsible for Corporate Governance, Risk and Compliance and Secretarial responsibilities from April 2016 until May 2020. He also served on the technical committees of the South Africa Bureau of Standards (SABS) to contribute to the development of the international standards and localization of these standards for the South African market. Tshitego joined our organization in December 2021 as an advisor toward ICT implementation, corporate governance and compliance.
